Jet Ski Winter Storage Tips

Storing your jet ski properly during the off-season prevents costly damage and ensures it starts right when warm weather returns.
Clean Thoroughly
Wash your jet ski inside and out with fresh water to remove salt, sand and debris. Dry all surfaces completely before covering. Salt residue causes corrosion and stains during storage.
Protect the Upholstery
Apply UV protectant to all vinyl surfaces before storage. Cover the seat with a breathable cover to prevent moisture buildup. Avoid plastic tarps that trap humidity and promote mold growth.
Fuel System
Add fuel stabilizer to prevent the gas from deteriorating. Run the engine for a few minutes to circulate the stabilizer through the system. This prevents carburetor and injector problems.
Battery Care
Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Charge it every few months to maintain its lifespan. A dead battery is one of the most common winter storage issues.
